Refrigerant Line Set
Common Questions
What is a refrigerant line set?
The refrigerant line set is the pair of copper tubes that connect your indoor air handler to the outdoor condenser unit. One line carries cold refrigerant inside, and the other carries warm refrigerant back outside.
Where do the refrigerant lines run?
They run through a small hole drilled through your exterior wall, usually around three inches, and are insulated to keep them working efficiently. The length and routing can vary depending on where you want the indoor and outdoor units placed.
Does line set work affect how the system performs?
During installation, getting this part right matters for long-term performance. The tubing carries everything the system depends on, so routing, length, and insulation are decisions made before the equipment goes on the wall rather than after.
